Our script doesn't contain a lot of dialogue at all, as because we're Norfolk it wouldn't sound that scary if we let our speaking get in the way.

Script:

Hit and Run

In this film, the final girl is being shown as a bad person from the beginning. She's at a party and she is drinking alcohol and drives home drunk, because of this you instantly think something bad is going to happen to her. Conventionally if a person in a teen horror drinks alcohol, has sex or does drug etc, then something is going to happen to them.When she drives home you think something will, due to: 

1. Her boyfriend seems a bit dodgy as she leaves the party
2. It's night in the middle of no where as she drives home (in a wooded, secluded area) - another convention in a horror
3. She crashes and gets out of the car fine but you think someone will get her due to being in such a secluded area

Weather: Rain. Otherwise any weather will have to do.
Shots: All of them.
Time: 4:30 until finished shooting.
Equipment: Camera; tripod, lab coat, fake knife, torch (on a phone) and burnsen burners.
Contacts: Each others mobile phone number.
Special arragements: Location - School corridor, class and woods
Props and costumes: Casual clothing, fake knife and lab coat, bunsen burners.

Walkthrough

• Starts near room 35 using a long shot for the corridor.
• Boy holding a camera with the camera in a satchel.
• At student services and a blackout happens.
• Clearly spoken dialogue and shrieks from girls.
• Freddie says "oh don't worry, I have a light on the camera" there'll be background chat from the girls, e.g. 'I'm so glad he has a light'
• Cut to where Laura is. Meanwhile the rest of the pupils are walking up the science corridor. And there will be chat when the camera comes back to them, saying 'What room is she in?'
• At room 90. They will say 'this must be the room she's in' and decide who is going to look in the window.
•  Teacher comes up behind Laura, slits her throat.
• We see her head hit the table and the teacher looks round to the pupils.
• They run to get away using a typical convention of heading towards woods.
• They climb through a hole in the fence.
• As the 3rd person is through they see the Dr is behind the 4th person who hasn't made it through the hole yet and that person gets stabbed.
• They run though the woods and stop at the hill because they see a shirt in blood.
• As they look up they see the Dr the other side of the hill.
• They all start to run, the boy trips and as the camera pans round when he gets himself up and the Dr is right behind him. The whole thing cuts to the title.

Location Scouting

We have used the woods because it is conventional in a teen horror, the cast will run here because it seems an obvious choice for a teen horror.

Props

Knife - used for when Dr Karloff kills Laura. We chose this as a weapon because we know that most horrors do, adding that typical horror convention to it.

Camera - for when they are messing about in detention. Though we don't know if we will go ahead due to changing some shots.

White lab coat - part of costume too. Worn by the insane Dr.

Bunsen burners - to create a better setting in the science lab. After filming this we were so glad we used lots of Bunsen burners, the effect made the production look a bit 'creepy'.

The rest of the story:

The next day after the opening scene the teens come to school the next day, they are too traumatised to tell anyone, they won’t dare to because they are scared of the scientist. The 3 that are left during the day get taken, but the audience will not see the disappearance of people that are left. They are found later in the lunch time by the rest of the friends who went in the woods and see them hanging. Strangled by Bunsen burners for an evil twist. Most of the school ends up disappearing.

The reason for having Freddie and Jason was as a homage to Freddie Kruegar and Jason from the film Freddie Vs Jason. We used Sydney because she was the final girl in scream.

We chose the name Mr Karloff as it was the name of the famous actor Boris Karloff, who played the first Frankenstein monster. Frankenstein was made in 1931 by James Whale.

We chose  those names as we feel that the audience can identify with the intertextuality references. we also decided upon  these names as they are possibly the most famous  name within the horror genre.

Synopsis

·         The film starts off with a group of 8 in their business class after school because they have detention and in another class a student called named Laura is finishing science work with a ‘crazy scientist’ for a detention too.

·         A power cut happens and they are allowed to go home, its winter time and its dark around the school already – leaving the setting dark.

·         When walking out of the lesson, the class splits. The final girl – Jessica, doesn’t know which group to go with and the camera focuses on her and her expressions and it seems like something is wrong and by focusing on her we are showing that she is going to be the final girl. The group she goes with are her friends anyway.

·         They are talking and they decide to wait for their friend Laura who is in the science room, they plan to wait outside and as they do they see Dr Karloff stab Laura, he turns around and see Freddie, Jason, Jessica and Sydney waiting so he chases them – chasing them because they will tell someone what he’s just done.

·         They run straight to a hole in the fence leading to the woods.

·         3 of them get through, but the last one gets dragged back and killed.
